- Half Day Schedule: 7:40am - 11:40am
Block Schedule
NLHSMMC follows a rotating A/B block schedule. Students are enrolled in eight classes (referred to as periods) each semester with four classes (Periods 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A) meeting on A Days and the remaining four classes (Periods 1B, 2B, 3B, and 4B) meeting on B Days. A Days and B Days alternate throughout the school year.
For the 2026-2027 school year, each school day begins with a 20-minute homeroom period. Following homeroom, students attend four instructional time blocks, each lasting 85 minutes. There are three lunch waves each day - referred to as "A-lunch," "B-lunch," and "C-lunch." Lunch waves take place during the third block each day and are 30-minutes long. Each student attends only ONE ASSIGNED lunch wave each day.

For the 2026-2027 school year, the order of class periods will rotate each day. This rotation provides equitable access to instructional time by preventing any one class from always meeting first thing in the morning or at the end of the day.
