Our school needs the full cooperation as assistance of our families if it is to provide the best possible service to its pupils and to the community.

Family Communication 10-16-24
Hello families,
There is so much happening at NLHSMMC next week! *Clarifying information from the prior communication is included in italics.
1) Parent Conferences:
We would like to invite parents and guardians to attend our Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences! We are excited to be able to offer multiple dedicated time periods for this year’s event:
- Wednesday, October 23 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
- Thursday, October 24 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
- Thursday, October 24 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
This is an open forum and no appointment is needed. All teachers will be available to discuss your student’s academic and social progress in their classroom, as well their attendance and conduct. You will also receive your child’s mid-semester progress report. Our School Counselors, Mental Health, and Wellness staff will be available to discuss specific concerns related to your child’s progress.
2) Half Days of School:
We would also like to remind you that NLHSMMC will be following a half-day schedule on Wednesday, October 23, Thursday, October 24, and Friday, October 25. All students will be dismissed at 11:55am on these dates.
- Busing for all students will be provided at 11:55am dismissal each day.
- There will also be the option of two late buses each day: one at the regular dismissal time (2:04pm on Wednesday and 2:44pm on Thursday and Friday) and one at 5:00pm. Students who are opting to take either late bus must sign up in the main office or via the QR code no later than 12:00pm each day they plan on riding.
3) PSAT Exam - Wednesday:
The PSAT exam will be administered to all grades 9, 10, and 11 students on Wednesday, October 23.
- Students must arrive on time to NO STUDENT WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE TEST AFTER 8:00 AM.
- Breakfast, lunch and a snack will be provided to students taking the exam.
- Grade 9, 10, and 11 students with a regular timed test will be dismissed from school at 11:55am. Grade 9, 10, and 11 students with an extended time test will be dismissed at 2:05pm. Please contact your student’s counselor if you have questions about accommodations for your student.
If you have any questions regarding PSATs, please reach out to your student's school counselor.
4) Senior Breakfast and Post-Secondary Planning
Grade 12 students will still report to school on Wednesday, October 23, though they are not taking the PSAT exam. Instead, the counseling team has arranged a special breakfast and various senior workshops related to postsecondary planning. Seniors will complete their school day at 11:45am.
